The Ridgewood Concert Band holds auditions throughout the season. We are looking for musicians who have a musical passion for symphonic band literature, are dedicated to our performance schedule, and can perform music on the level of the Ridgewood Concert Band.

Players who would like to join the Ridgewood Concert Band should contact us via email at info@ridgewoodband.org. Please provide your name, telephone number/email address, instrument, and a brief description of your playing experience. You will be contacted to set up an audition. The audition should highlight your technical and musical proficiency and could be contrasting sections of a sonata, concerto, or a few etudes.

Auditions are typically held prior to Ridgewood Concert Band rehearsals. Players who audition will know ahead of time if a section is in need of their particular instrument and will be told immediately after the audition if they have been accepted as a member of the band.

Percussion auditions are arranged by the percussion section leader and differ from our brass and woodwind auditions. Those interested should contact the Ridgewood Concert Band for details on availability and audition procedures.
